Children’s Chug

This chug is one of the most enriching after school activities for children. It is important to train our hands in hand-eye coordination from a young age. It is particularly gratifying for children, as it is also for adults,  to create products with our own hands. The Jewish Artist Center is an organized, clean, and safe environment to explore young creativity.

Description

Learn the correct and safe use of hand tools, wood carving, glass blowing, painting, mosaics, and more. Children sample many materials and techniques. The curriculum flows with the abilities and desires of the participants. Each chug will have the opportunity to learn how to make glass beads, sculpture and glass blowing. We offer wood working, carving, and hand tools. And work with other materials, such as paper. We integrate science and math (shhhh don’t tell the kids) into products they will bring home, such as skateboards, kites, bird houses and hot air balloons.
